Clean technologies, energy-efficient practices, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and nature-based solutions (such as reforestation and ecosystem restoration) also contribute to lowering greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a low-carbon economy.
Policymakers and governments can support climate action and plastic waste management through enacting and enforcing regulations, setting emission reduction targets, implementing circular economy policies, investing in clean energy infrastructure, promoting sustainable waste management practices, providing incentives for renewable energy adoption and innovation, fostering international cooperation, and raising public awareness about environmental issues and solutions.
